Front-end Web Developer (Node.js/React/Express/GraphQL)

We're looking for a full stack JavaScript developer with Node.js experience.


  • Cutting-edge JavaScript skills (ES2018+), both server side and client side
  • Experience with components - we're big React fans
  • Experience with Webpack, Express, and Babel
  • Modern styling techniques, such as JSS, Styled Components, CSS modules
  • Modern testing techniques, such as Jest and Enzyme.

Bonus points

  • Previous work in an agile environment (scrums, code reviews)
  • Knowledge and experience of the Apollo GraphQL framework and ecosystem
  • Terminal friendliness (we're a Linux shop). That includes Git and Docker.

Skills & Experience

You'll help to develop the web-based administration console of Transversal's market-leading knowledge platform, Prescience. Your code will benefit clients including John Lewis, Barclays, Sainsbury's and Capgemini. You will be working on a greenfield React application, contributing modern techniques and ideas for improving the architecture, design and functionality of the interface. You'll work in a small but focused team of JavaScript developers, striving to keep our technology at the forefront of knowledge automation with a focus on user experience and customer satisfaction. You'll benefit from an agile environment, supported by a project manager, API developers and a UX professional. As a team we appreciate good interface design and the processes and skills required to develop it. Keeping up to date with new techniques is encouraged. You will be given the flexibility to work to your interests and strengths.
