Transversal appoints new CEO
Cambridge-based knowledge solutions vendor Transversal is delighted to announce the appointment of Heather Richards as the new Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.
As CEO, Heather will take over the day-to-day running of Transversal and will be spearheading the continuing expansion into the US.
Heather joined Transversal in 2001 and was previously VP of Professional Services. Her former roles include an eight year spell in the United States as a manager at Public Interest Communications where she oversaw fundraising campaigns for high-value clients such as Amnesty International and World Wildlife Fund.
Heather brings exceptional technical and commercial knowledge of Transversal to this role as well as close ties with customers developed during her 13 years with the company. With a hands-on approach to problem solving and a genuine passion for client success, Heather’s attention to detail and emphasis on effective implementation and personalized service has won her great reviews from clients. Her drive, commitment to high standards and focus on client requirements will help to accelerate the growth and success, both at home and abroad, of Transversal.
“I’m pleased to be taking on this new role and having the opportunity to build on our successes. The future for the business is exciting, with the expansion into the US and growing partner network” said Heather. “As we move the business into a new era, Transversal’s focus on client requirements remains at the core of our operation and I am looking forward to continuing the long-standing relationships we have as well as developing new ones.”
“Heather’s blood runs Transversal blue and I have every confidence that under her leadership this company will go from strength to strength as she brings her own style and approach to the role,” said Dr. Davin Yap, outgoing CEO and founder of Transversal. “As one of the founding employees, Heather has been instrumental in both shaping our culture and helping build Transversal from a small technology start-up to the international success it is today. Heather, myself and the rest of the management team will continue to work together to grow Transversal even faster – I am excited for the future.”
Stepping down from the CEO role, Yap will now be focused on building brand awareness and long-term strategic partnerships.
Transversal was cofounded in 1998 by Dr. Yap and Dr. David Mackay and was focused from the beginning on making it easier for businesses to answer customers' questions. Nearly two decades later, Transversal's solutions are deployed at almost one hundred blue-chip companies, providing relevant, quick and consistent answers to customers across the globe.
Other management changes, also announced today, see Marc Quantrill, VP Global Sales and Alliances joining the Transversal Board of Directors, after a successful five years with the company, growing the partner channel to account for more than 50% of revenue.
