Transversal CEO shortlisted for Business Leader of the Year
Transversal is delighted to announce that its CEO, Heather Richards, has been shortlisted for Business Leader of the Year at the Women in IT Awards. This award recognizes “a female leader of a technology company, or a business leader within a large technology company, who has demonstrated outstanding business leadership in the last 18 months”. Previous winners include executives from Fujitsu, Ericsson and Panaseer.
The awards, hosted by Information Age magazine, aim to improve the representation of women in the tech industry. They highlight the achievements of female innovators and entrepreneurs, as well as companies committed to diversity. Having been held annually in London since 2015, the awards have attracted so much interest there is now a sister event in the United States.
Heather said, “It’s exciting to be part of Transversal’s continued growth trajectory as we capitalize on our AI pedigree with an eye towards the future of knowledge creation and consumption. Not only is this nomination an honour for me personally, it reflects the continued success of Transversal and the relationships we have with our clients.”
Heather has over 20 years experience in the IT industry, having worked in both the US and UK. She was part of Transversal’s original team and has been instrumental in the company’s growth from a Cambridge technology start-up into the successful business it is today.
The UK winners of the Women in IT Awards will be announced on 31 January 2018. For more about the awards, see the official site.
