Transversal CEO finalist at Women in IT Awards

Transversal executives were among the twelve hundred attendees at the tech industry’s largest diversity event, the Women in IT Awards, held this year on 31 January.

Heather Richards, CEO of Transversal, was one of ten finalists in the running to be named Business Leader of the Year. The gong ultimately went to Sam Mudd of Phoenix Software. Joining Heather at the awards banquet were Sharon King-Livesey, Transversal’s Head of Global Marketing, and Finance Director Katy Wigdahl.

With seven hundred nominees, selection of the final list was rigorous and inclusion was a just occasion for pride. Heather was cited not only for steering Transversal’s technological innovation and material success, but for “encouraging cross-disciplinary collaboration as a way to solve complex problems and capitalize on change”.

The ceremony was held at London’s Grosvenor House hotel. Maggie Philbin, well-known TV presenter and advocate of STEM education, hosted the proceedings, while Baroness Lane-Fox, former digital champion for the UK government, delivered a keynote speech. Live music and comedy closed the evening on a lighter note.
