Transversal CEO wins Woman Entrepreneur of the Year
Heather Richards, CEO of Transversal, triumphed at last night’s Business Weekly awards, taking home the Cambridge Judge Business School award for Woman Entrepreneur of the Year. This award recognizes “a woman entrepreneur who can demonstrate outstanding achievements in the last 12 months and who inspires and nurtures other women to excel”. Heather was chosen from a prestigious field of 16 nominees based in the Cambridge region and beyond. Heather has led Transversal since 2014 and has been a driving force in our consultancy and technology operations for 20 years. Her tenure has seen Transversal expand its reach and take on increasingly ambitious projects. Her experience of managing large-scale, complex knowledge transformation projects has few rivals in our industry and has generated measurable benefits for our clients.
A graduate in literature and philosophy, Heather is interested in the intersection between arts and technology and believes that people with diverse skills are key to fostering technological innovation. As well as being named Woman Entrepreneur of the Year, she was recently a finalist for Business Leader of the Year at the Women in IT Awards.
“Given the wealth of talent in the region,” said Heather, “it’s a great honour to be shortlisted, let alone to win. I’m delighted to have been selected from such prestigious and varied nominees. This award reflects Transversal’s flourishing reputation, which should only increase in the future.”
