Transversal shortlisted at Cambridge Independent Technology Awards
We’re delighted to announce that Transversal is shortlisted in two categories at the Cambridge Independent Science and Technology Awards 2018. Our CEO Heather Richards is one of seven contenders for CEO of the Year, while Transversal is shortlisted for Technology Company of the Year.
The awards were founded in 2017 to celebrate the many achievements in technology by Cambridge businesses. Grounded in its world-leading academic research, Cambridge has been a centre of computing since the time of Charles Babbage. It has stood at the forefront of technology from the room-sized computers of the 1950s, through the personal computer revolution in the 1980s, to AI and mobile technology today. Although Cambridge’s talent has recently attracted multinational companies like Apple and Microsoft to the city, local-grown innovators remain at its heart.
Transversal has already enjoyed awards recognition this year, having been shortlisted at the TechXLR8 Awards and the Digital Leaders Awards, as well as being named one of KMWorld’s 100 Companies That Matter in Knowledge Management for the fourth year running. CEO Heather has had even greater personal success, winning Woman Entrepreneur of the Year at the Business Weekly awards.
Heather says: “The awards shortlist reflects both the breadth of innovation in Cambridge and how Transversal, as a developer of AI and knowledge automation, is in the thick of that. Even as we increasingly take on clients around the world, we’re glad to be part of the ‘Cambridge phenomenon’.”
Winners of the awards will be announced on 1st November.
